I just got the Horizon T500 and it's a really good treadmill. I don't know much about the T81, but I'd say the Horizon brand is a pretty good one :)
We have just taken our Horizon Model T70 treadmill out of storage, set it up in the house, plugged in power cord. Have lights, motor runs, belt moves, but only slowly 0.5 pace none of the buttons on control panel are operating properly. We have tried

They are one of the many Johnson Health Tech sub-companies — Johnson itself has been around since the mid-1970s while Horizon has only been around for the last 6 or 7 years. In that very short time Horizon has used the dealers. Over the past 2 years or so Horizon has expanded much more in to the big box retailers such as Sears.
