Gold Gym Treadmill

Im trying to buy a decent treadmill preferably from about 100 dollars to 3-4 hundred dollars. im pretty interested in nordic track treadmills and golds gym since they count calories and fat you burn. anyone who has bought 1 or both could you please answer which one is better?

yeah i was thinking about getting this treadmill and i was just wandering if the gold's gym 480 treadmill would be good for everyday running?btw i'm kinda on a budget so if you know of any other treadmills that are good for everyday running that are within the 200.00-400 dollar price range let me know.thnx :-)

Actually just bought this treadmill 4 days ago. I bought mine at Wal-Mart & I asked the guy that worked there if this would be good for everyday use (since I will be using it everyday.) He said yes it is perfect for everyday use. It is just as good as a one that would be in a gym, it just doesn't have as many bells & whistles as those, its more of a simple home version one. Which is great for me! So far I haven't had any problems with it, it was easy to set up. I suggest having someone else there to help put it up with you, it will help a lot !

I'm a fitness professional. I've used and seen a lot of different brands of treadmills & ellipticals. However, you should stay away from the ICON brand of products due to quality and noise issues. I'd recommend Horizon brand products. They have excellent units with features, styling, and noise suppression that it's competitors can't match. Horizon is pure quality, with excellent warranties and for their price Horizon's the best deal around!

As far as where to find Horizon products, you'll get great service at the lowest prices by buying on-line. I just checked pricing yesterday for several clients and A2Z Fit (link & phone below) was the best on-line Horizon dealer out there. I've worked with A2Z many times in the past for my clients. I am looking for a decent treadmill. This one keeps coming up in my searches for good affordable treadmills. The biggest concerns I have are how is the cushioning in the deck? I have had problems with impact on treadmills in the past. Also how does it stand up to running? Alot of the websites say that it is not great for runners, but in the customer reviews on Walmart.com, no one mentions specifics like wether they are running on it or walking/jogging.

Wal-mart doesn't sell any treadmill good enough to run on. They are ok for walking if you're not too big, but none of them will stand up to the unholy pounding that is the human body running. You'd be lucky to get a years worth of running out of them and that's if your short and skinny.

go to costco and buy that nordic track commercial 1500, or get something more sturdy secondhand.

If you can't afford it, I understand, just run outside or get an eliptical or stationary bike, they don't get beat up as bad.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but if money is truly tight, then buying something that will break, just isn't smart. So buy something better or nothing at all.

look at the bottom of the page it says things included: ipod touch. so look again but to answer your question yes.
