I was given a nice electric recliner lift chair that has a massager and heat. Also, the foot stool is electric so I can't recline. There is a cord coming from the back that looks like a cord for cable for your TV only it has 3 small hole in it where
Art Van does not get very high marks from most people. I would say you need the other cord to make this chair work. I couldn't get to their web site either. The link shows a phone # and a street address. Keep after them until you find out what...
Ski resorts add plenty of play to their activities
If you listened to Nick - or looked at ski resort numbers, flat over the last couple of years - you might wonder if skiing is in trouble. That would be a mistake. Diehard alpine skiers and snowboarders will always be a ski resort’s core mission. But with more families traveling with children, even the smallest ski hills are rebranding themselves as family-style winter playgrounds.
If the Porter children are like mine, they will grow up to be skiers. Right now, though, the Alpine Coaster, a high-speed bobsled ride on a roller coaster track, delivers bigger kicks. And as ski resorts that have installed high-speed chair lifts have discovered, the new technology has changed the way you can plan your day.
Forms Of Massage Therapy
Perhaps the most common type is the Swedish, sometimes called relaxing treatment. A Swedish uses five major types of long, flowing, calming strokes to therapeutic massage. The five basic strokes are sliding or gliding, kneading, rhythmic tapping, friction and vibration/ shaking. Swedish treatment is designed to help relax the patient and alleviate pain and provides an overall sense of well being. The deep tissue is another popular form. It is designed to help relieve the pain of severe tension in the muscle or the connective tissue that surrounds the muscles. This type centers on the muscles deeper within the client, hence the name. It focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is typically recommended for clients who experience consistent chronic pain. Sometimes it is used for patients undergoing physical therapy. This type of massage may cause soreness at first; however after consistent therapy sessions the client will begin to feel much better. Reflexology is another common type. Based on the principle that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that connect to all areas of the body, the massage focuses on the hands and/or feet. The therapist applies pressure to various trigger points which connect to the organs, glands, and muscles of the rest of the body in an attempt to relax and relieve pressure in those areas. The hot stone therapy is a specialty modality in which the therapist uses smooth, flat stones. Typically the stones are heated before the massage begins. The therapist begins the treatment with usual techniques, and then adds the heated stones by placing them along the client’s back and using some of the oiled, heated stones in her hands. The heated stones provide additional relaxation to the client. There are many other forms of massages available. If you are interested in getting a massage, just call a reputable, licensed spa or massage therapist for details. The massage therapist should be able to tell you the best massage for your needs. With the variety of massages available, you are sure to find the one best suited to your needs and comfort.
