    On display are framed embroidery pieces created by her 86-year-old mother, Marge Connors; a black-and-white drawing from her high school art class; a wooden jelly cabinet she built in college wood shop; a sentimental collection of Santa figurines; and lots of framed photographs of her parents, three grown daughters and seven brothers and sisters.

    Hitchcock's 2,100-square-foot home will be part of next Saturday's 39th annual Home Tour and Art Show sponsored by the Redding branch of the American Association of University Women. The tour features three private homes and a just-completed contractor's house.

    Hitchcock, owner of Tina's Interior Design Resources in Redding, hopes her home, built by Al Shipman of Redding, will help people see the way pieces of different styles can be mixed. "You don't have to get rid of things you love, you can work them in."

    She also would like people to view interior design as an ongoing effort. When she moved into her house 15 years ago, she knew she wanted the kitchen to be different, but she didn't rush into transforming it. She waited until she had the resources to change her kitchen without shortchanging her vision.
