New Brunswick High School gym floor to be in by December
BRUNSWICK - The complete installation of the East gym floor at Brunswick High School following flood damage in April is underway.
The good news, District Business Manager Dale Saraniti said, is that all but $5,000 of the estimated $110,000 project is being paid by the district’s insurance company.
“The average gym floor costs about $110,000 and our insurance company is picking up all but our deductible,” Saraniti said at a Nov. 7 school board work session.
On the downside, the athletic department has had to adjust both practice and home basketball game schedules during the construction time, which is not expected to be complete until mid-December.
