Save Money with a Home Gym | Oh My Apartment
You don’t have to spend excess money on membership fees to a health club when you invest in a home gym . There are simple tools and equipment you can buy that will get you the physical and health results you want, for a fraction of the cost of paying to access a commercial gym. Here are some ways to get started:
Buy Used Equipment
The best way to find cheap equipment for your home gym is at yard sales. Sometimes people want to unload bulky equipment because they’re moving and it’s not worth paying the shipping costs. Sometimes, the equipment might need a small part, and the owner doesn’t want to bother fixing it. In a lot of cases, someone was motivated to start an exercise program and bought a home gym, but for whatever reason, they didn’t use it and want to recoup at least a little bit of money for it. In all of these scenarios, there’s a great opportunity to save big on a home gym. Check your local newspapers and message boards for garage sale listings, and visit each one until you find what you need. It can be a hit or miss, but it’s worth it when you do find a deal on the equipment you need.
