Ok, I've been going to the gym quite a while now (half a year) I'm 16 y.o. 6 ft 1 inch, and I'm pretty happy with my results. During these 2 vacation weeks, I m going to change greatly, itll be like taking off the last imperfections. I have some questions however
-when you bench on a decline (http://www.home-gym-direct.com/Images/25 0x400/Maxicam_Compact_Decline_Bench_Weig ht_Bench_II.jpg) , which part of the chest works out?
-I was getting my ab packs, but I just stopped doing thsoe cause they were a pain in the butt. Im gonna get em during these two weeks. Iknow abs are a small muscle, you think I could work em out 1 day yes and one day no? I do sit ups on a decline as well, and for the jelly rolls (i dont know the name of those muscles sorry) I've never worked them out but they put a new machine, which I'll use along when im doing abs), and dont worry about the obliques, but I will also do them the days im doing abs.

The decline chest press works the lower pec muscles. Just like an incline chest press works the upper pec muscles. Of course, all chest press exercises also work the tricep muscle fairly well also.
Yes, you should not work your abs every day. In fact, many professionals only recommend working each muscle group once per week. The actual muscle growth occurs primarily in the rest time following the workout, so if you workout the same muscle ever day you are actually limiting the growth of that muscle.
Well, I''m 15 and I go to the gym. I'm 5'9ft and I want to know if I'm too young to go to the gym.
I use gym equipment for abs and a lot of other things but I don't pick weights up I sit down and pull them down .

I started training around that age, weight training at that age is really not any more dangerous than weight training at any other age. it's an activity that has its risks. As far as the equipment goes, I'd stick with free weight exercises using barbells and dumbells, and bodyweight exerises like chinups, dips, and pushups. Using machines at such a young age is actually dangerous, it puts your tendons, muscles and bones in a fixed and unnatural position. Working without the machine will also work your core and stabilizers making you alot stronger quicker. Also pick up your own weights, why would you workout with weights you can't pick up? email me with anymore questions you have if there's one thing I know about it's training!

I'm looking for information on dumbbells and home exercise. I would like to work out, but don't have the money to join a gym or anything. Basically, I would like to use dumbbells, pullups, situps, pushups, etc. to get into shape. Could anyone direct me to websites about this or offer any information.

i'm 15 years old and i want to lose about 10 pounds (give or take). what are some excercises that i can do in my home-not having to go to a gym-to be able to lose the weight? i mainly want to lose wight around my stomach and hips, so any activities that direct to those areas would be great! any advice would be helpful!!!

Push-ups, Pull-ups, Squats, Isometrics, Self Resistance these are all things you can do at home and get in awesome shape. Learn to listen to your body and don't resort to the "no pain, no gain" BS cause pain is the only sign that says you arn't dead yet but it doesn't feel too good either. Stomach flexes help strengthen the core and various dynamic (moving) stretches that help with flexibilty as well as strength. I use these programs to keep me fit and one that you may be interested in as its designed for women, I got my stepmom this and she loves it.
I filled in the form and said I agreed to a direct debit being taken from my account in 4 weeks time. After reading the form at home I could see it was not for me, but the form says I cannot cancel. please help.
When did you sign the contract? I think most places now have a 7 day cooling off period where you can cancel a contract, so if you are still within the 7 days I would give them a call and check. However usually if you signed a contract (after the 7 days) you are tied in for a year. At my gym I signed for a year or you could do a monthly one you could cancel but that was almost £10 more a month.
Either way give them a call and see what they say and stay firm as they will always try and convince you to stay
