Despite price and name, which one is better for a total body workout? And does the Weider the Advantage home gym come with a exercise chart or list or something like that?
I have a bowflex extreme and I love it..I have three kids and I am a size 4. I have a six pack and people are always amazed. I'm 34 and it really only takes about 20 mintues a day.
I've been watching Basketball all my life, and I've never been able to get a satisfactory answer to this one. When the visiting team wins at least one of the first two, this phrase is bandied about by all the so-called pundits, yet the location of the games doesn't change. Shouldn't loss of home court advantage mean that one more game is played in the other team's gym? Does this phrase actually mean anything?
The homecourt advantage means that in a seven game series one team has 4 home games and the other three. So, theoretically if each team won all of the home games the team with 4 home games would win the series. But, should the visiting team win game one that would leave each team with three remaining home games. And since the team that originally had the "homecourt advantage" lost game 1 if each team won all the remaining home games the other team would win the series. Homecourt advantage is simply based on the idea that teams are more likely to win games on their home floor than at their opponents arena.
I have never understood the "home ice advantage" thing in professional hockey. Is it really such an advantage to have the fans cheering for you? As professionals, they shouldn't even care what the fans are doing, right? It's like that one scene in Hoosiers where the kids make it to the state championship and Gene Hackman measures the gym for them. Exact same dimensions, home or away. Why is it so hard for NHL teams to win on the road?
1. The fans are on your side.
2. You get the last change so you get to decide who your players play against.
3. In face-offs you put your stick down second. Now that doesn't sound like much, but it allows you to see what the other centerman is going to do, so it helps win draws.
4. Its your rink, you know the bounces off the boards.
5. Also you are home, you get to sleep at home in a familiar setting

other people there to encourage you on. Plus,
they have lots of equipment that most people don't have in their homes. Having trainers helps
too.
