after christmas, stores have 'after-christmas clearance sales' and everything is SUPER cheap. My family used to have 'christmas' after christmas becuase all the gifts were much cheaper and affordable.

At a time of year when most people are thinking about stuffing their bellies full of holiday food, two women are making plans to whip the county into shape.
Sarah Mammarella, the family and consumer sciences agent with the NC Cooperative Extension, and Janine Cone, the area director for Carolina Family Comprehensive Services Inc. are joining forces to host a fitness event for kids.
“Youth Fitness Focus” is a community outreach event, designed to reach kids of all ages and their families.
“I’m a registered dietitian, and Janine is a certified personal trainer,” said Mammarella. “We decided to put this event together in an effort to teach healthy eating and easy exercise habits to young people.”
