I was just curious if anyone has ever used an elliptical trainer, and how many calories it could possibly burn after 45mins-1hour. Also if anyone has any tips from their own experience how to lose 1-2 lbs a week, thanks :)
I absolutely love the elliptical. In my experience it burns about 600-650 calories in an hour, 450-480 in 45 minutes. I used it to lose a fair amount of weight, if that helps.

The reccomended amount of time one should exercise a day is at least a half an hour but if you are also going ot be lifting weights I would suggest that you wrok out on the elliptical for 25 to 40 minutes and do free weights for another 15 minutes.

I won't bother changing clothes if I can't go for more than an hour.

I don't think it's that your shoes are too small or anything - they just don't fit right. You probably have a high arch, and your shoes cut across at the wrong place. It's made worse on an elliptical because you're driving your feet forward and...
